I have worked at many wedding venues, and The Island in Târgu Mureș is a special one. It sits on Strada Plutelor, on the bank of the Mureș river, and it stands out for a spacious, well-kept garden that gives wedding photographs a natural, picturesque background.
Why I like photographing at The Island
The space gives me plenty of corners for couple portraits. The natural light in the garden, especially at sunset, creates a magical effect in photographs. It is a perfect place to capture the romantic moments of a wedding day.
Features and facilities
The elegant, spacious tent is the main strength of the venue. It holds 200–400 guests and still leaves a generous dance floor, so everyone is comfortable. It works for large weddings, both daytime and evening, although in the Mureș area daytime weddings are the most common.
Service and food
The service is high quality. The staff are professional and attentive, which creates a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The food and the candy bar prepared by The Island team are delicious. One more thing worth mentioning: the Hugo cocktail is my favourite drink, and the bartenders make it exceptionally well.
